The Problem
The area around Calamus Reservoir is popular with people and is good wildlife habitat. Because of human activity there is a lot of trash. We pick up the trash along several miles of Highway 96 twice each year. We get $50 each time and donate it to the Switzer Nature Preserve-hosts of the Nebraska Prairie Chicken Festival.
