Restoring Native Plant Habitat at Shaw Nature Reserve

  • Location
    Gray Summit, Missouri
  • Status
    Active

The Problem

Under the mentorship of Scott Woodbury, Curator of the Whitmire Wildflower Garden, the students will collect seeds from native Missouri prairie plants. As they work, Scott will coach them on seeds, seed dispersal and the natural history of the prairie. Children ages 4 to 12 will participate, with the older children guiding the younger ones.

Our Plan

We will work at the Shaw Nature Reserve on Wednesday August 12th.
