The Problem

Islands like Hawaiʻi face severe waste challenges with no “away," as discarded materials directly threaten our environment and water sources. At the same time, vulnerable community members and patients in rehabilitation centers face daily hardships

Our Plan

We are launching the "ReJean Initiative," an upcycling non profit project initiative that transforms discarded denim into durable wheelchair care bags. By partnering with local facilities like Maunalani Rehab Center here in hawaii, we combine these custom denim bags with collected unused hotel amenities to create comprehensive care packages, while uniting students across fashion, engineering, and healthcare disciplines to drive community impact, while bringing students together across fashion, engineering, and healthcare disciplines.
