The Problem

Many young people want to make a difference in their communities but have limited opportunities to participate in meaningful, hands-on service and environmental learning experiences. They also often have few opportunities to connect with peers outside of their own schools and build friendships through shared experiences. At the same time, equine facilities rely on dedicated volunteers to help care for horses, maintain the property, and support therapeutic programs for individuals with disabilities and those facing health challenges.

Our Plan

Our Summer Junior Volunteer Program addresses these needs by bringing together youth from different schools and backgrounds to work toward a common purpose. Through caring for our horses, maintaining our farm, and supporting our programs, participants develop leadership, teamwork, confidence, and a sense of environmental stewardship while forming lasting friendships and strengthening their connection to their community.
