The Problem
We are working on starting a recycling program at the local Boys & Girls' Club.
Our Plan
The focus of the project will be to get students and staff to recycle their waste rather than discard the waste. We will install small bins with handles inside the classroom and three 50gallon recycling bins on the outside of the building. Since we do not have recycling facilities we have spoken to another municipality and secured permission to deposit our recyclables in their bins. We hope this will encourage the youth and staff to become recyclers and to persuade our local government to instill recycling facilities within our city. We intend to use this program as a catalyst for the school across the street as well.
