The Problem
The Roots and Shoots campaign chosen by my group is a project-based learning experience. We will use the Gladden Middle Learning Commons to create our environmental concern, plan, organize, and act. I want my students to think critically and act with a purpose. The need my students have chosen to address the problem of the lack of recycling in our school building. The approaches my group will take to alleviate the problem is advertise recycling, set up bins for recycling, collect the recycling, and take it to the recycle center. I would like my students to foster respect for the community around them and inspire them during the 2017-2018 school year to take action and make the world a better place for their school building, people, animals, and the environment.
