Through this project, students delve into the complexities of pressing political topics, developing their critical thinking skills and ability to articulate their viewpoints effectively.
Participants begin by selecting a current political issue that resonates with them, conducting thorough research to understand its nuances and implications. They then craft persuasive speeches aimed at advocating for their chosen stance on the issue, utilizing evidence, logical reasoning, and rhetorical strategies to persuade their audience. Throughout the project, students receive guidance and feedback from teachers and peers, honing their speechwriting and public speaking skills in a supportive environment. They also have the opportunity to practice delivering their speeches in front of their classmates, building confidence and fluency in verbal communication.
