Here is how the project went:
Making the eco boat out of 644 was a great success. It required a lot of coordinating between The Parallel Projects, Perise, and Madiba and Nature.
Through this project I/we learned:
We learned how to collaborate and teamwork with with other people in Cameroon.
What I/we might change:
We would get all the details and money amounts in a contract prior to conducting the project therefore all the expectations were all figured out ahead of time. Making the eco boat, getting the supplies, and getting the bottles all went well. We didn't expect an additional fee for donating the boat to a fisherman.
My/our favorite part of this project was:
Seeing all the bottles turned into a boat was incredible.
Some tips, tricks or fun facts about the project:
It was so great to connect The Parallel Projects with Madiba and Nature in Cameroon. The boats are made out of plastic bottles and are given to fisherman to use to catch fish in a village nearby. It was so exciting to see this collaboration come together. Justin hopes to make a little boat in Los Angeles "in parallel" one day soon. https://madibanature.com/
