The Problem
We have a raised bed garden at our school that is overgrown and needs some materials to get it back into planting shape. We are going to clean up the area, prepare the soil, and plant vegetables in the garden beds. We are starting with just our class, but we hope that other classes at the school will join us in our garden endeavor. We also plan to involve the PTA at our school in the cleanup and preparation of the garden beds. In the past, watering the garden regularly has been a challenge because of weekend breaks and other long breaks away from school. We plan to use some of the money for drip irrigation of the garden beds so that watering happens more regularly.
