The Problem
We would like to create a rain garden to filter run off pollution, help our plants survive the drought season and to welcome pollinators.
Our Plan
The rain water will flow through the rain garden; watering and maintaining native plants and recharging local groundwater. We will remove non native grasses, build a trench, create layers of sand, pebbles and smooth stones. We will also plant native plants around the perimeter of the trench.
