The Problem

The Peace Festival is an annual event to encourage positive appreciation of cultural and racial differences amongst our community.

Our Plan

In the basic sense, the Peace Festival is a music festival with keynote speaker(s) sending messages of hope, encouragement, and Peace as well as local music, poet, spoken word artists showing exhibits of painting, sculptures and other artistic displays which educate guests and encourage diversity and inclusion by persons from all races, creeds, colors, genders religious faiths and orientations. The festival is meant to bring the community together in appreciation of musical talent, great food from local vendors and in mentoring and encouraging groups from local schools in their artistic endeavors. The Center for Racial Harmony has hosted this festival in the local community for 5 years now.
