The Problem
We are concerned about the challenges being posed to pollinators, particularly monarch butterflies and native bees.
Our Plan
For our campaign, we learned about different types of pollinators and the challenges to their habitats. We have started milkweed seeds in winter greenhouses made out of recycled materials. We've also started seeds from pollinator plants including borage, zinnias and sunflowers in an indoor grow station. We will be presenting to our congregation, educating them on the challenges to pollinators and actions that we can each take to support them. In the spring we will plant a pollinator garden with a variety of native pollinator plants.
