Our wish is to help reduce plastics on our planet and protect and preserve our oceans and wildlife. We will join forces with family members up and down the West Coast of the United States to do our part. This is a family effort that we hope will inspire the communities around us and from there reach even further. Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents and cousins and friends will do what we can to help reduce plastic waste and inspire others to join us!
We will start by finding ways to help in our own community by participating in beach and waterway clean ups. We will grow the effort by raising awareness and inviting others to join in. We will use art, sewing and writing to get our message across and fund raise. We will create our own reusable sandwich and snack bags that can take place of hundreds plastic bags. Our young group members will help inspire other young people in their schools and communities through art and through action.
This project has been very rewarding. It has been a challenge, but we have seen our contributions pay off. It feels good to be giving back to our planet and taking care of our community.
We learned that taking care of our planet is a very fulfilling task.
If we did this project again we want to encourage even more people to join us in an effort to take care of our planet.
Our favorite part of this project was being able to see what a huge difference our beach cleanups made. It was very rewarding to see our efforts pay off.
