The Problem
Each class in our school will participate in the Project Feeder Watch citizen science program. This will help scientists at the Cornell University Lab to collect data about migrating birds.
Our Plan
Teachers will learn about the Project Feeder Watch program. Each class will learn about how to identify and count birds at the feeder. Roots and Shoots will collect donations for birdseed and bird feeders. We will watch the birds twice a week for at least 30 minutes from December through April.
