The Problem
We are planning on a community action project that will positively impact children and people in our community. Our youth through the years have noticed and spoke about the playground equipment in our playgrounds becoming scarce. There is one playground in particular that a lot of kids use because of the basketball court. Younger kids will go with their older siblings to play on the playground equipment while the older one plays basketball. But, over the years the playground equipment has dwindled down to only two swings, no baby swings or teeter totters, and the merry go round needs fixing. There is one wooden climber that gets overcrowded as well as the merry go round.
