The Problem

We wish to turn plastics into art and bring awareness to the damages of single-use plastics. We are collecting plastic and will be turning them into a large art installation on campus to show how many pieces the average person uses over a two week period. We are collecting as many types of plastics as we can, counting them and will highlight how many many pieces were used to make our art installation.

Our Plan

We are collecting plastics from campus trash and recycle bins that will be used for the art install. We will have our first showing on the summer solstice. It will stay on campus for a week and then will be displayed at community centers.
