The Problem

Qatar is a hot, dry country facing challenges with a large population of street cats. Addressing this issue involves several community initiatives including recycling, art projects, and the Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program. These efforts aim to improve the well-being of street cats while promoting environmental sustainability and community engagement.

Our Plan

The Art for Cats Workshop series is a collaborative initiative spearheaded by cats_etcetera in partnership with the Planet Kids Club (Museum of Islamic Art ) and VCUarts Qatar. The primary objective is to establish an engaging and informal learning platform for both Arabic and English speakers. Through this series, participants will gain insights into the significance of caring for cat communities in urban environments, while also emphasizing the interconnected themes of recycling, art, and the Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program.
