The Problem
In our community, some shelters have an overflow of pets and not enough supplies to care for them all. This leads to poorer conditions for the animals as well as higher euthanasia rates.

We are planning to host a pet supplies drive to raise donations for these animal shelters. Potential items to donate include food, toys, and cleaning supplies.
The planning and executing stages of the project went well and allowed our members to engage in teamwork. After the end of the drive, we got over 60 donations valued at over $300 for pet shelters. Overall, this drive was a huge success.
Through this project, our members and I learned about pet shelters around our local area and the issues they were facing, allowing us to help make an impact through the pet supplies drive. We also learned teamwork and how beneficial it is to making a project successful.
If we did this project again, we might make the window for giving items to the drive longer, to allow for more donations.
My favorite part of this project was working with my group members to plan and execute the drive, as well as reaching out to my school and spreading information about the pet supplies drive.
Being able to work with other people on projects is one of the best things! It is great to have a team to consult for advice and work together with.
