The Problem

We already have an Alternative Rite of Passage ceremony in place since 2012 in our community of Esiteti in southern Kenya. We have over 200 graduates of the ARP ceremony finishing high school. The females graduating are being trained as youth leaders for other villages surrounding our region. We go into other Elementary schools and teach 4th and 5th graders the ARP curriculum encouraging girls to continue their education. Africa Scchool of Kenya is helping with a student scholarship program at each school in the area.
