The Problem
I wish to create a butterfly/sensory garden at my school to enhance the learning of my students with Autism. The students would prepare, plant, and tend the garden each day. They would learn of the life cycle of plants and butterflies, inter dependency, and the reward of hard work to see a project to completion.
Our Plan
At the start of the school year we will begin prepping the garden area for the new plants. We would remove the old soil and plants, prepare the bed for the new soil, decide on plant choices for our particular area, purchase the plants, plant the plants, and then watch and learn as our garden becomes a habitat for local wildlife.
