The Problem
The problem I would like to fix by creating a garden would be for kids to eat healthier and learn about taking care of nature.
The problem I would like to fix by creating a garden would be for kids to eat healthier and learn about taking care of nature.
To solve this problem I would like to start a small garden at my school, where students can take care of it.
I think it went pretty good, and all the kids seemed to be enjoying and having fun, but at the same time learning about growing their own food.
I learned about teaching and sharing my knowledge from gardening and planting, teaching others who may not have done it before, or did not know about it.
If I did this project again, I may have changed the way we did things, because in the classroom when I was teaching, we had to teach them to plant seeds and package it at a station, and the station was getting crowded, so I was thinking if I did this project again,I would maybe have three stations, (my mom was helping out at another station, but it still got crowded) so it would move faster, and we could have done more.
My favorite part of this project would probably be the teaching, on Earth day, when i was leading the whole class. I felt really good, and enjoyed that part the most.
When you are teaching kids, you have to make it more engaging, not just talk at them. For instance, I was presenting a project to my class and also introducing who Jane Goodall was, but instead of just talking to them, I made a video, and dressed up in a funny costume, and made it a "mission" given by me, Agent Green. I think things like this, help kids be more excited about the project.
