The Problem
We would like to implement our project in each of the schools in our school district, and to work in our community to replace all of the Styrofoam trays being used in different places with our environmentally-friendly solution.
Our Plan
Our school district is using Styrofoam trays in our school cafeteria, instead of the reusable plastic trays we had last year. We want to find out why they switched, and come up with a way to make a disposable tray that is biodegradable, or find a tray that can be recycled. Right now, our Styrofoam trays go to a landfill in our community.
