The Problem

Based on research for this class, students have found that monarch butterflies and other pollinators are in need of more waystations to rest for their long migration. Through this project, it is our hope that we will provide needed habitat and food for these animals that seem to be losing more and more safe places to rest and lay eggs. It is also the hope that classrooms could utilize these gardens for hands-on lessons.

Our Plan

Our classroom in coordination with the Environmental Club will collect resources, assemble garden beds, plant, and care for flowers that would benefit local pollinators with a focus on monarch butterflies.
