The Problem

Fix the problem of deforestation by joining the Trillion Native Tree Planting Project team.

Our Plan

Plant a lot of native Arizona trees that can grow without much water in the mountain area. I originally planned to my involve my National junior honor society team members to help disperse seeds to grow native Arizona trees in the wilderness. However, due to COVID-19 our schools are closed and we are not allowed to meet in groups at this time. So, change of plans!. when I receive the funds from the Microsoft Trillion Native Tree Planting Project team - My team of 4 will shop for a good deal on price on seeds from a local farmer or seeds wholesale shop. The seeds we were able to get were for Arizona native seeds were Ironwood, Foothills Palo Verde, Desert Willow and Blue palo verde. We will create a nursery in cardboard boxes for 100+ trees. We will purchase potting soil and manure, grow tree bags. We'll mix the soil manure and fill them in the tiny 100+ bags and stack them. Watering and caring for them in the shade will help saplings sprout. Once they sprout we will give them to neighbors, friends and family so they can plant them in their backyards and care for them. The goal is to have these trees 100+ grow in my neighborhood of Chandler , Arizona.
