Native Plant Sale at HHNM

The Problem

Every year, people come from all over the Hudson Highlands to buy native plants at the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum's annual sale. The people who are interested in planting native gardens will also be interested in hearing about the bees who pollinate the gardens! They will get the chance to hear about native and honey bees, learn about threats they face, and how to help them.

Our Plan

On Saturday, May 21st, the Way to Bee! Worker Bees of NY is a Great Place to Bee will set up an informative display booth and host fun hands-on activities to teach about bees and how to help them. Anyone who attends will be invited to participate in building native bee houses from recycled materials, wildflower seed bonbon making, bee dances, a scent communication activity, a honey-making activity, and learning about four easy ways that anyone can help the bees!
