The Problem
As a member of our C.P. Smith Elementary School's gardening committee and in a state where our winters can be long and brutal, I wish for our committee to lead by example. That said, having enlisted classrooms to adopt raise beds in hopes that our teachers and students will get excited about gardening, the committee have not gotten the enthusiastic response we had hoped for. We belief that we need to lead by example and have ourselves adopted a raised bed. We would like to plant potatoes but also add levity to our project by incorporating Art - everything Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head.
