Milkweed School Garden

The Problem

Our community as seen a decrease in the number of monarch butterflies that exist. This is most likely because of the decline in the number habitats. The population has decreased more than half of its initial. We had a milkweed garden in our school. However, it got destroyed over the summer. Thus, our goal is to revamp our milkweed garden and make sure it's protected. It not only adds more native plants but provides habitats for the butterflies. Our goal is to increase the number of butterflies.

Our Plan

We will plant more milkweeds around our school. Then we will make sure to take care of the garden and have signs to make sure no one accidentally gets rid of it.
