Our wish for this project is two fold. The first is to supplement some of the herbs and vegetables that the school buys with our own self cultivated produce. Our second is to add green space to our campus by creating gardens on the balconies of the school and by placing decorative plants throughout the hallways and classrooms.
Our garden projects were started last year and have been making strides this academic year. Our garden bed for the cafeteria project has been delivered just this week. One of our balcony gardens is flourishing and we are in the works of fundraising and collecting donations of reusable containers and supplies for the remainder of our gardens, including a butterfly garden. A sub-committee of the MET's Environmental Committee to has been set up to over see the project.
