The Problem
Our wish for this project is to reduce and reuse both the inorganic and organic waste from our cafeteria.
Our Plan
Our project will reduce the amount of one time use plastic in our cafeteria, reuse large plastic containers from the cafeteria for our balcony gardens and implement a composting system to use for the soils in all of our gardens and possibly our restoration projects. We are in the brainstorming and planning stage but initial contact has been made with the head of the cafeteria. We will implement trainings on each of the three initiatives of this project, as we also install compost bins, fundraise and ask for donations and delegate a sub-committee of the MET's Environmental Committee to over see the project.
