The Problem

To help restore and conserve marine biodiversity by creating habitat for the marine life around Gili Air, Lombok, Bali.

Our Plan

The Green School Dive Club has teamed up with the Gili Eco Trust and Manta Dive to create habitat for the marine life around Gili Air, Lombok, Bali. In June of 2013, six Green School students helped to design, build, submerge, and connect a bio reef on the east coast of Gili Air. Choosing a replica of the Green School bridge as a model, this 8-meter long 1.5 meter bridge now rests in the water about 30 meters in front of Manta Dive. This year, grade 8 student Britain Anderson decided to lead the project as part of his Quest project. Britain will be designing and building another reef which he will attach to our Green School Bridge in May to continue to grow our Green School Bio Reef. Nice work Britain!
