The Problem
The entrance to the school needs to be updated, and create a space where people feel welcome as well as animals and insects.
Our Plan
We are wanting to create a garden around our flag pole/entrance to the school that is welcoming and inviting. I would like to have the students work to figure out what should be added to the garden. Finding plants that are native to our area, and would work well for the area. Discuss with the students about blueprints and have the students work on designing the layout of the garden. Talk about what animals or insects might like to live in this area. Discussing the benefits and disadvantages of having them in the area.
