The goal of this project to to help people become more aware of the damage we do to the biodiversity of our local environment when they do not think about what they do. Trash, pollution, and other human actions make our water not suitable for organisms that depend on a healthy ecosystems. In this project, we hope for others to realize the impact they have on even the tiny creatures in our environment.
The goal is to make plushie animals of the different macro invertebrates in our local area. I have already made prototypes (out of clay), but the plan is to actually make small stuffed animals that get people to know and care more about the life we have in our waterways. If I can figure out a way to make these and sell them, then I can donate any profits to organizations in this area that take action to better the watershed ecosystem.
