The Problem
The purpose of the Roots & Shoots project is to show love, support and provide resources for those that need it the most during these times of hardship and racial injustice. Unsheltered children and families live without the means to acquire the basic human comforts of warmth, health, safety, and cleanliness. We want to uplift, volunteer and lend a hand to supply needed "Love Care Kits" to the families that are without the everyday necessities that's needed to survive in this world. In doing, this project are hopes are to start a tipping point and recruit many others in our community to assist us in making this a worldwide yearly event to donate personal hygiene items, nonperishable food items, new or used cleaned clothing, socks and shoes. Also pet food for many individuals experiencing homelessness, pets are literally lifesavers. We're supposed to love and help our neighbors and we want to be a part of the solution and walk in love. We're going to connect with numerous shelters, department stores, grocery stores and schools to get them involved as well to build up our community. The community is low-income, no-income, underserved youth, and high-crime areas as well.
