Low recycling and composting reporting and inconsistent waste sorting practices across L’Oréal's Distribution Center have resulted in low and often inaccurate reporting for the site’s material recovery rate.
Our Plan
I am conducting a sitewide waste audit, optimizing strategic bin placement, adding clear visual signage, creating a reward system to promote sustainability initiatives at the Distribution Center, and launching employee education efforts to improve recycling accuracy, increase waste diversion, and strengthen the site’s overall sustainability performance. I have presented updates at monthly sitewide 411 meetings and was later selected by the Site Lead to present my work to L’Oréal's Vice President of North American Fulfillment Services (NAFS).
