At East Newton, we wish for our students to become productive members of society who are able to make a difference and change the world for the better. With this grant, we will purchase littleBits materials which will provide our students with the ability to be creative & to design, test & redesign their inventions.
Students will brainstorm ideas and then use the littleBits Invention Cycle to create a product that makes a difference in someone else’s life. Students will use defined constraints and criteria for success to test and then iterate upon their invention to improve its functionality. We will conclude the activity by having students create advertisements to communicate their unique product to potential community members in need.
