Our school does not have a comprehensive composting program and food waste is thrown away.
Our Plan
We are planning to initiate a classroom composting program, starting with five worm bins. The plan is to have five teachers and their classes adopt a worm bin. The classes will keep track of how much food waste is collected by recording the weight of the food before adding it to their bins. Our goal is to collect data that will support the expansion of the program next year.
