The Problem

In Lake Dallas, urban spaces are often underutilized, while community members face limited access to fresh, locally grown produce. Additionally, the lack of green spaces and education on sustainable practices contributes to environmental neglect and disconnection from nature. These issues not only impact physical health but also reduce opportunities for community engagement and environmental awareness.

Our Plan

We are transforming an underutilized space in Lake Dallas High School into a thriving urban garden. This space will serve as a hub for growing fresh produce, hosting educational workshops on sustainable gardening, and fostering community collaboration. Through volunteer efforts, partnerships with local organizations, and ongoing maintenance, we aim to create a sustainable, eco-friendly space that benefits everyone in our community.
