The Problem

We want to help soldier stay safe.

Our Plan

Anything can happen to a deployed service member, and even the tiniest mishap could result in a tragic loss. Hence, I aim to lead a group of volunteers to create paracord bracelets to support U.S. Soldiers. Also known as survival bracelets, paracord bracelets are 8 feet of strong 550 cord that can be used to secure gear, construct makeshift tents/hammocks, replace shoelaces, create temporary splints, act as emergency sutures, fishing line, and even dental floss. Evidently, these bracelets are versatile and can save lives for soldiers. We aim to create about 180 paracord bracelets. The bracelets will be shipped to Soldiers’ Angels, a non-profit dedicated to providing aid and resources to the military. Finally, the paracord bracelets will be included in care packages that are shipped to deployed service members.
