Here is how the project went:

Great! We successfully produced eight, thirty minute Kids for Positive Change episodes with local students, expert guests from around the world, R&S Youth Leadership Council students, and other kids from across the national. Episodes are now airing on local PBS stations and on PBS Learning Media!

Through this project I/we learned:

Students are willing to go the distance to reach a goal. Due to Covid-19, we needed to film outdoors in March, in NE Ohio. It was cold and uncomfortable, but students gave it their all and truly accomplished the task at hand!

What I/we might change:

It would be wonderful to have funding to hire a production company to take care of production needs so I, and my small team could focus the majority of time on involving more students.

My/our favorite part of this project was:

Filming! It was challenging, but we had fun!

Some tips, tricks or fun facts about the project:

Be prepared. Have students help with researching scripts - its a fantastic way to get them involved in community action!
