The Problem

Our goal is to help fix the problem of food production misconceptions. We hope to educate children about the field to table process by having them prepare the soil, plant the seeds, tend the plants, and harvest the yield. We also hope to increase biodiversity in the area by planting crops that will attract birds, bees, and small animals along with other insects.

Our Plan

We are planning to help the children plant, care for and eat vegetables so they learn the work and care it takes to grow food. The garden will have butterfly attracting flowers to help teach pollination. Composting will be a component to teach about waste and reusing materials in a less wasteful way.
