The Problem

We are hoping to foster the continued care of our earth and environment by offering recycling opportunities for latex paint, secured document shredding and recycling, and TerraCycle Brigade recycling. With the help of The Green Mountain Sustainable Neighborhood Group, we are also encouraging the reuse of gently used clothing and small household items for resale at ARC, and donations to The Jefferson County Action Center, Mango House, I Support the Girls, and Jeffco Eats. The Green Mountain Sustainable Neighborhood Group will be offering seminars on Zero Waste and Composting. One member will be hosting a "make a reusable bag out of t-shirts" for youth. They will be offering a seed and plant exchange and information on cycling in the community. They have also invited a member of PPAN to come and help educate about the benefits pollinators. The schools Healthy Schools Initiative Group will be onsite painting picnic tables. And we will have 3 food trucks offering a variety of yummy food.

Our Plan

We have contracted with Shred Nations for secured document shredding and recycling. We have contracted with Green Sheen for recycling latex paint. We have organized with the GMSN to have various booths onsite. And we have made all of the arrangements with the school to use the parking lot.
