The Problem
The planting of plants native to the Southern California region and those that create a food source for Humming birds native to our region. The garden will be planned and executed by students with Special Needs in our schools Environmental Academy. Our students will experience the planning, planting and maintenance of a California Native Plant Garden. The students will be involved in all aspects of the garden from choosing the plants, to planting and maintenance. Our students will observe and journal the effects of planting native plants. The projects success will be determined by the "arrival of hummingbirds"
