The Home of Hope is a homeless shelter for men. The shelter relies heavily on community support to stay open. They currently have no funding for food and need community help to feed the residents breakfast, lunch and dinner. My wish is to be able to provide healthy meals to the residents on a regular basis.
I want to make one homemade meal a week for the residents. I will gather my friends and together (under the guidance of my mom and dad) prepare a full dinner for the residents. Our Katie's Krops Garden will provide the produce for the meal and we will shop sales and base the meals on the most cost effective protein avavailble. The best part, while we are giving back we will be learn important life skills. It is a win-win situation.
