To maintain Hillside's meadows and trails which are always available for student and teacher use. Also, to involve community members and students in working together to apply their skills to the real world application of taking care of our environment.
On certain Fridays and Saturdays during the school year, students meet at Hillside school and are assigned a certain part of Hillside's meadows and trails to work on. For example, adding wood chips to our trails, cutting weeds, organizing the tool shed, discarding pollution from the pond, and maintaining the butterfly garden.
