The Problem

Our School Age Children created pictures that they felt would have a healing benefit to children at our Children's Hospital. They were beautiful drawings that were very happy and most colorful. When completed they were sent on to the hospital to be displayed where staff felt it would be the most appropriate for the young patients.

Our Plan

This project was part of our Summer 2014 program. We hoped that our art would bring a smile and laughter to the patients at Children's Hospital. Our students were given several options of artistic tools to create their pictures i.e. markers, crayons, colored pencils, pencils and paper. They were told what the purpose of the drawing would be and the asked what kinds of pictures they thought would make children who are sick feel better. Once they came up with their ideas , they put them to paper and made several beautiful drawings. Once done, they were sent on to the hospital.
