Our wish for this project is for senior citizens who live in an assisted living facility and are unable to go home for a holiday meal with their family will feel loved and cared about when receiving a holiday place-mat created by a child especially for them.
Our project will send a message to senior citizens that they are important and cared about. Students will make a holiday placemat using construction paper, paints, dye-cut objects, etc. The place-mats will be laminated to preserve it. Placemats will be gathered when complete. Teacher will deliver the place-mats to a local assisted living facility for them to use on the tables for the residents at Thanksgiving.
