The Problem

In the Spring Monarchs migrate from Mexico up to the West and East coasts and take a break in our home state of New Jersey on the way. In the Summer, Monarchs migrate up to Canada, laying their eggs on milkweed plants as they travel and die along the way. There’s not enough milkweed plant left, which is the Monarch’s main food source. The Monarch butterfly drinks nectar from flowers.

Our Plan

Planting a monarch buttery garden in NJ with a variety of host and nectar plants.
