The Problem

We will address the issues with nonnative plants and how they do not sustain our local wildlife, including the monarch butterfly, all species of bees, birds, and bats; and, the dangerous use of pesticides, insecticides, and other poisons to eradicate insects that are beneficial to the ecosystem as a whole.

Our Plan

Share and teach the knowledge of the importance of planting native plants, building wildlife habitats, creating pollinator gardens, and the no use of pesticides by example of companion vegetable garden planting that will all be on site. Hands-on experiences to implement their learning capabilities and take home seeds to begin their own native perennial plant along with a craft or form of nature art and a scavenger hunt for fun.
