The Problem
Our wish for this program is to build a strong community where citizens can engage in a meaningful examination of setting a collaborative tone which, in time and in practice, can become a collaborative culture. Our wish for this project is to be together embedded in the built form of the traditional city. We hope to foster development patterns in historic areas, recognize their embedded wisdom and work to preserve them. Lastly we hope this project will compact walkable communities to thrive. Festivals, events and other activities are key opportunities for community grow stronger and there are ways to do accomplish this without depending on city hall to finance it. For every city event, there’s an equal need for gatherings at the block and neighborhood levels.
