The Problem

Kids Express After School wants to build better fences around their gardens to keep the ground hogs and raccoons out of our gardens. We plan to grow extra veggies to donate to the local food bank.

Our Plan

In April we will construct the fences and in May we will plant the gardens. By August and September we expect to have veggies to donate to the food bank. During June and July the kids harvested lettuce and radishes for the food bank. This August the children picked zucchini, carrots, and cucumbers for the food bank. The new fencing is keeping the problematic animals out of the gardens and has helped increased our harvest.
